ABOUT
Ryan began on piano at age five, moved to percussion at eight, and got his first drum set at ten. That road led to the USC Thornton School of Music and a Bachelor's in Jazz Studies, with studies under Jeff Hamilton, Peter Erskine, Roy McCurdy, and many others.
Today Ryan lives in Los Angeles, recording and touring, and hosting Sessions With Shaw, his live Jazz show. Outside of music you will find him deep in electric cars, baseball, and classic movies.
THE SHOW
Ryan hosts and produces a live Jazz session show filmed in Los Angeles: world-class musicians, full performances, and the conversations between them. No overdubs. Just real music in the room.
